Our Preschool Child Care Center proudly embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy of early childhood learning–-where joyful play and high-quality projects spark creativity, collaboration, and knowledge.
Open 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, our program is a Maryland State Certified Preschool, within a fully-accredited AIMS school; available part-time or full-time for girls and boys ages 3 and 4.

Language Arts - Students develop oral language, listening skills, vocabulary, letter recognition, rhymes, phonics, reading readiness, social skills, sight vocabulary, writing skills and a positive attitude about reading.

Math - Students learn counting, grouping, comparisions, patterns, time, money, measurement, addition, subtraction, geometric shapes, small motor skills, problem-solving and social skills.

Library - Students improve oral language, listening skills, reading readiness skills and learn new concepts and develop a love of books.

Music - Students improve auditory discrimination and auditory memory, verbal expression and motor skills. They learn about beat, rhythm, tempo and melody.

Art - Students are exposed to a broad variety of media, which helps build fine motor and cognitive skills. They explore painting, cutting, stamping, clay building, stitching, beading and collage.

Physical Education - Students develop small and large muscles, eye-hand coordination, increase their attention span, improve social skills, build concepts about size, shape, color, pattern and have fun!

Science - Students experiment, solve problems, make decisions and develop concepts about science and nature. They improve language, interact socially and develop sensory skills and math concepts.

Foreign Language - Students will be introduced to other cultures and languages including an emphasis on basic vocabulary.

Computer - Through the use of tablets, students develop skills including critical thinking, beginning math and begining reading. Monthly themes are reinforced through activities.
