Emergency Preparedness
Information for Students, Parents, and Guardians
Roland Park Country School's Emergency Preparedness procedures have been developed to keep students and employees safe during emergencies that occur on or near school grounds.
Federal safety guidelines contained in the National Incident Management System (NIMS) have since been adopted by both the State of Maryland and schools nationwide. Our Director of Security is a retired law enforcement officer who has been certified through FEMA and the NIMS guidelines to ensure our plans are up to date. An important component of these guidelines is the use of plain, easily understood language to communicate during an emergency.
Lockdown—Evacuate—Shelter, or LES, is RPCS’s updated emergency preparedness program.
